Tenny was born on October 02, 1944 in Gloucester Va. He was the Son of Marcus Thomas Coates & Sadie Va Walker. Sadie took Cancer when Tenny was two years old and died leaving his older Brother JT and Tenny alone. His Aunt Taken him and Raised Him. His Brother stayed with his Dad. He had Two half brothers, One full Brother and one Sister. He left behind a wife of 26 years, Joyce, one Son,David and Two Daughters Vicki and lisa and eleven grandchildren. he is loved & missed and always will be. Even after fifteen years, the pain is just as strong as it was then, We all have just learned to live with it. Tenny went to live with Rosie & Roy in July of 1947. He would have been three in October. He started to school in Newport News school and Went to Warwick High School He was Very Athletic. He was into Basketball and when he was in High Scholl He began to play Football. He was the quarterback of the Team. He was Very Good at it too.
